Here is a step by step description of how to disassemble a Phoenix Arms HP22A. This method is very easy with just a little practice and requires no tools.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
1 – Start with your HP22A and a magazine<\/td>\n\"\"<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"\"<\/a><\/td>\n2 – Insert magazine, leave it hanging out about 1\/2″, slide the magazine safety down.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
3 – Pull the slide back and engage the magazine safety.<\/td>\n\"\"<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"\"<\/a><\/td>\n4 – Face the HP22A away from you, place your thumbnails against the back of the takedown lever and press forward (Note:image has been edited, as I didn’t have enough hands to take the picture).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
5 – The barrel should release, lift the muzzle up and back.<\/td>\n\"\"<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"\"<\/a><\/td>\n6 – As the barrel comes up to 90 degrees is should come loose, lift it away.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
7 – Place the barrel backwards into the slide.<\/td>\n\"\"<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"\"<\/a><\/td>\n8 – Hold the barrel and frame with your left hand while disengaging the magazine safety with your right hand.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
9 – Let the slide extend while holding the barrel, let it extend to about a 1\/4″ past its normal position. Since themagazine is partially released it will not press on the bottom of the slide.<\/td>\n\"\"<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"\"<\/a><\/td>\n10 – Lift the slide straight up and place to side.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
11 – Slide the spring out and place to side.<\/td>\n\"\"<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"\"<\/a><\/td>\n12 – Lift the take down lever up, pull out, and place to side.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
